Course Details

The proper use of diagnostic imagery is an important aspect in all personal injury cases. Cases involving hard injury may not require the same level of imagery as those involving soft tissue injury, in order to prove up damages. The "knee jerk" reaction should not always be just to order the most expensive imagery, just because it's what "we believe" the insurance adjuster will accept. There are many clinical, economic, and lifestyle factors, which should be considered in the appropriate choice of imagery. In this course we discuss and demonstrate the basics of reading X-Ray and MRI images, compare and contrast the sagittal and coronal views in MRI images, discuss the differences between T1 and T2 imagery, and discuss the clinical findings to support the appropriate us of each.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course you will come away with a deeper understanding of the use of diagnostic imagery in trauma cases.
